Dear friendz,
My mother Smt.Puttaparthi Kanakamma was also a noted poetess and lyricist. She wrote 'Gandhiji Mahaprasthanam' (An elegy for Mahatma Gandhi) and 'Ahniveena' (free verse) along with my father Dr.puttaparthi.
she also wrote many devotional songs on Lord Srirama, srikrishna, Lakshmi Narasimha, Ganesha, Parvathi, Lakshmidevi and saraswathi goddess. Her ankitha mudra was ' Paramatharaka' a name of Lord Srirama. She has completed the Valmiki Ramayana Sapthahams 108 times. That was by-heart text for her. when she was on death bed even attacked by 'brain hemerage' and lost her complete memory, she used to recognise the wrong spells (deliberately made) by my father Puttaparthivaru. That was her deep attention towards Valmiki Ramayana.
Though she selected her ankitha mudra as 'paramataraka' she also wrote some devotional songs with 'astakshar' mudra which was my father's. She used to tell' there is no need of seperated recognition for me 'cause ur father's fame (means Dr.Puttaparthi's) is mine even'. That was her real 'ARDHANAREETVA'.
Friendz dears, here is one of her beautiful lullaby song on Lord Lakshmi Nrisimha sung by my dearest daughter Chi.Sow. Vamsipriya (Padutha Teeyaga - USA fame) which is one of the songs of her album 'Swarnageyarchanam-2'. Pl. listen the above
