..
Friendz dears....This was one of my sweetest memories of my work at DDK Hyd as a producer. This 'chiruswara samaram' was in continuation of the grand success of 'The first ever classical music competetion' 'Swarasamaram' a 53 weekly telecast pure classical music competetion in Andhra Pradesh of course in whole DDK kendras. The then governor Sri Narasimhangaru in the final competetions of 'Swarasamaram' praised DDK Hyd as 'The backbone of our great culture'. As u all know Kum Manda Shruti Ravali (daughter of 'Vidushi' Smt Manda Sudha ranigaru (vocal) of Vizag) and Kum Yoga Keerthana (Grand daughter of Acharya Veturi Ananda Murthygaru and daughter of 'Vidushi' Yoga Vandanagaru (veena) of Bangalore) stood second.
With this success, I approached my Director Smt Sailaja Suman and expressed my wish to conduct a Semi-classical competetion for children between 12 to 15 years age group. Happily she okayed my proposal and the above promo went on air for one month inviting applications from children learning classical music.
I very anxiously stated prepaing back ground for the programme, selection of the judges, selection of rounds and set in the studio , most important of course.
First of all I wanted to write a promo for the 'Chiru swara samaram'. Usually if at all I start trying to write a song, it exists along with the tune automatically as I learnt classical music in my childhood in Kadapa from sri S. kondappagaru (a desciple of sri Proddutur Jamalappa who was again sishya of sri Mysore Choudayya). I requested Dr.Seshulathagaru to listen to this song and tell her view. She said it as 'perfect'.
I recorded this with this child prodigy of Zee Telugu and put it on air for one month.
Mean while SVBC started 'Swara Raga sudha' on the same grounds of our 'Swara Samaram' which I feel is the inspiration of DDK Hyd only. Any way, this is the story behind this promo of 'Chiru Swara Samaram' friendz.......
Last, but not least, my 'Swara Samaram' gave inspiration for 'NAD- BHED' a national level classical music competetion both in Karnatic and Hindusthani musics and our winner Kum Manda Shruthi Ravali stood first in National Level even.
Will there be any maximum satisfaction than this for a producer friendz?
