                                                                   MUSINGS

                                                Still is water,

                                       Awaiting the  breeze and rain

That create the ripples of LIFE..

                                 Another day in my life

                                  Is burnt in the Sunset.

The ashes are the scattered clouds.

The birds are weeping to the setting life

To the game of chess that space plays.

I sit under the vast dome,

Voyaging in the ocean of thoughts,

                       An aimless voyage though.

                       The sky has hidden itself

                       Under the black veil.

My thoughts come back to me

                       Unanswered as deep sighs.

                              Maa ayyagaru-  Dr.Puttaparthi Narayanacharya

                                         WHAT IS LOVE?.

Love is a Rose, they said

That springs from the stem of the heart.

                            It perfumes the mother plant.

And charms the eyes, the hearts of others.

Those were the days of lyrical romance.

                             Now, Love is a DEVI

That eats the heart from where it has sprung.

Dr.Puttaparthi Narayanacharya (1914-1990)    in his poetry 'Leaves in the wind'

Everything is sleeping under the weil of night
Like a babe under the protection of her mother.
 Nothing  is awake except silence
  The bride of eternity looks
In expectation of her dear beloved.
The earth and the sky are conversing
With each other in dumb language'
     In this sculpture of beauty
     I pray to you silently.

                                            With a book in hand,
                              And a serene mind,
With a child at my side
                              In a hut by a river-side
                              Let me die.
                              Far away from civilisation
                              With it's dreadful machines
                              And frighful manners.
                              Let me die
                              With a sudden smile.

My revered father, more familiar as SARASWATHIPUTRA in Telugu Literary field was a POLYGLOT and well known as Poet, Critic, Devotional Lyricist, Translator, Orator, Novelist and more over as INDO ANGLICAN poet unlike other famous figures in telugu literature. His CENTENERY started on 28th March of this year. As I am following the media, a very less projection is being to my father though he was and is being referred to as UNIQUE Telugu poet wrote  answers for his own poetry 'PENUGONDA LAKSHMI' (written at the age of 12 years) in his VIDWAN exam later in his forties. His Telugu and English works were and are being praised equally. But his CENTENERY is not being properly projected in media or public meetings. I still remember that my father himself was referring  RAYALASEEMA as 'CHEEKATI KHANDAM' regarding negligense in Literaturary and cultural fields. I humble request to the media is 'NOT TO BE PARTIAL' at least in LITERARY field and pl. project writers based on their caliber
and not on the caste or creed.

Happy VINAYAKA CHAVITHI to all  near and dears! Lord Ganesha is destroyer of obstacles. Every body wants all his works to complete without any stress and hardnuts. So Ganesha is everybody's favourite GOD. If u follow carnatic music, most of the Ganesha songs composed in HAMSADHWANI raga which is said to be best in giving UTSAHA to the singer keeping aside the tiresomeness and boredom. The meaning of the name of the raga is 'sound of Swan' which is said to be the purest in vision and sound also.
Rama  swami deekshitar (father of Muttu swami deekshitar-one of the 'MUSICAL Trinity) created this raga.Popular krithis in this raga are  'Gajavadana beduve'  'Vinayaka ninu vina'  'Sri Gananadham bhajare' 'Gam Ganapathe namo namo' 'Vatapi Ganapathim bhajeham' .
                                               Bolo Ganapathi Maharaj kee Jai!
